St. Vincent is comprised of lush volcanic greenery, white sand beaches and the thriving urban capital of Kingstown. Surrounding the main population are dozens of smaller islands, islets and cays known as The Grenadines - a sailor's paradise. Some of the tiny specks in the ocean may be deserted while others have great hotels and restaurants - all of them have brilliant beaches and clear turquoise waters that are perfect for diving and snorkelling. And while the majority of the Grenadines do belong to St. Vincent, a few of the southernmost islands come under the jurisdiction of Grenada. When you are sailing through them, however, the ownership likely won't matter to you.
